In an important act of inter-institutional cooperation, the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic (CARD) signed an agreement with renowned international academic institutions with the aim of strengthening the training and updating of legal professionals. The signing of the agreement was led by CARD President Trajano Potentini and Florida Global University (FGU) President José Geraldo Guarisma Jr.
This agreement establishes a strategic alliance between CARD and the following educational institutions: Florida Global University (FGU), Baden Powell Technological University and American Elite School.
The agreement will allow Dominican lawyers to access continuing education programs, specializations and master’s degrees in key areas of law and other complementary disciplines. In addition, academic exchange, access to scholarships and the possibility of studying with international certifications will be facilitated.
During the event, Potentini highlighted the importance of continuing legal education and the need to strengthen the knowledge of legal professionals in an increasingly globalized and technologically advanced world.
“This agreement represents a great step towards the academic and professional strengthening of our lawyers. Through these alliances with prestigious international universities, we guarantee wider access to quality education and tools that will contribute to the development of justice in the Dominican Republic,” said Potentini.
For his part, the rector of FGU, José Geraldo Guarisma Jr., highlighted the commitment of his university to the formation of highly trained professionals with international standards. “Our mission is to contribute to educational excellence and provide growth opportunities to Dominican lawyers through innovative and flexible academic programs,” said Guarisma.
The agreement includes a series of benefits for members of the Dominican Bar Association and their families, such as:

– Possibilities of double degrees and international certifications.
– Exchange of knowledge and experiences with professors and experts in different areas of law. – Creation of seminars, conferences and diploma courses adapted to the needs of the Dominican legal sector and access to bilingual online baccalaureate for the children of lawyers.
The signing ceremony took place at the Bar Association, in an atmosphere of cooperation and enthusiasm for the future of legal education in the Dominican Republic. With this initiative, CARD reaffirms its commitment to the professional development of lawyers and the promotion of a more prepared and efficient justice system.
This agreement adds to the Bar Association’s efforts to modernize and diversify training options for its members, thus promoting greater access to quality education and constant updating in a constantly evolving legal world.
