BOGOTA, Colombia – In a continuous effort to break down the barriers of knowledge and consolidate high-impact alliances in the region, representatives of Florida Global University (FGU) and its educational group completed a successful institutional visit to the city of Bogota on April 16 and 17, 2026, through its headquarters in the Colombian capital and its corporate team in the region.
The meeting focused on deepening existing agreements and opening new lines of cooperation with three of the most important higher education institutions in the country: the San Martín University Foundation (FUSM), Uniempresarial and the Grancolombiano Polytechnic.
Partnerships that transform lives
The delegation from the FGU Educational Group, led by Engineer Souraya Rivas Lichaa, Internationalization Coordinator, presented a strategic proposal designed to internationalize the profile of Colombian professionals. The pillars of these meetings included preferential access to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctoral degrees) offered by Florida Global University, the international certification and academic endorsement system for continuing education issued by the Center for Education and Leadership (CEL), and the Dual Diploma High School program offered by American Elite School (AES), focused on the well-being of families within the university community.
Key commitments:
- With the San Martín University Foundation (FUSM): A roadmap was agreed upon to socialize the benefits of the FGU-FUSM alliance in key areas such as Human Resources Management and Welfare, allowing teachers and administrative staff to access US degrees with flexibility and excellence.
- With Uniempresarial: A two-phase plan was defined that will begin in the Fall 2026 cycle with the promotion of master’s degrees for graduates, with a view to implementing dual degree programs in 2027. A relevant milestone is the exploration of FGU as a co-training company within Uniempresarial’s prestigious dual education model.
- With the Politécnico Grancolombiano (POLI): The working group facilitated the planning of a comprehensive enrollment campaign for the remainder of 2026. Furthermore, FGU’s participation in the Poli’s Graduation Week in September was confirmed, where the achievement of the first students under the agreement to receive their US degrees will be celebrated.
With these actions, Florida Global University and its educational group reaffirm their position as the ideal strategic partner for Colombian institutions seeking to offer their community a global window of academic and professional opportunities.
